In the Urban Development Division, we love what we do. Knowing that on the other side of a difficult construction and development project is something that will make our community and downtown stronger is why we are here. Tight lots, overhead power lines and unconventional designs are the challenges we seek.

Our belief is that a successful project begins with intelligent, thoughtful design and ends with a persistent determination to see the project flourish into a landmark. The urban development process combines all facets of construction: site layout, building design, entitlement procurement and financial administration.

Tanyard Parish

Complete in December 2008, developers, builders and the public at large now have a shining example of what thoughtful redevelopment in an historic community looks like. TANYARD PARISH is now the standard by which all other urban infill projects will be judged.

TANYARD PARISH is located in the heart of one of the South's oldest and most established historic districts. It boasts a South Front Street address between such notable landmarks as Chandler's Wharf and The Wilmington Ironworks building. Likewise, the project is only a few quick paces to the breathtaking Cape Fear Riverwalk.

Wilmington Riverfront Project

Wilmington Riverfront

The Northern Riverfront District is under initial re-development in Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. The first phase includes a 42 slip marina on the Cape Fear River and available pad sites totaling more than 120,000 square feet of floor area for a mix of uses - with an emphasis on residential, Downtown living.

All permits, entitlements and municipal approvals have been received. This project presents a unique opportunity to add to Wilmington's character and history while protecting one of our areas most important assets: the Cape Fear River.
